We repair several types of radiators, each with their own considerations. Small leaks and and damage can often be repaired, while more catastrophic damage may require a replacement of the core or the entire radiator.

Types of radiators:
Aluminium-Plastic radiators
Most modern radiators are consist of an aluminium core and plastic tanks that are crimped and glued on. This is fast and efficient to produce, but makes the radiator less repairable. Leaks on the core and faulty crimping can often be repaired, but cracks in the plastic tanks require a full radiator replacement.
These radiators cannot be re-cored.
All-Aluminium radiators
These radiators have both aluminium cores and tanks. Because of this, all parts of the radiator are potentially repairable.
These radiators can only be re-cored by the manufacturer.
Copper and brass radiators
Rarely seen in modern vehicles because of less efficient production and weight, these radiators are as durable as their mass suggests. As they are made from solderable materials, they are very repairable.
These radiators can be re-cored.
